About True Advice Financial Services | Independent Advisers Since 1983

About Us

True Advice Financial Services was founded in 1983 by Tony Hollom, giving the business over 40 years' experience in the industry. It is a family-run business: Tony's wife Sue Hollom is the senior administrator, and those family values have been at the core of the firm since the beginning.

Based in East Grinstead, West Sussex, True Advice operates nationwide with a focus on the South East and London, including East Grinstead, Crawley and Horley. We cover every area of your personal finances: investments, pensions, insurance and mortgages.

Tony Hollom is the firm's financial adviser, covering all aspects of advice. As the business grew, and to keep it in the family, Ashley Hollom joined in 2018 as a mortgage and insurance adviser, specialising in those areas and working alongside Tony to look after a growing client base.

Testimonials

What our clients are saying about us. Read more reviews on Google.

"After 40 successful years in business the Covid shutdown was sending us under the hooves of a very large horse. I knew after my first conversation with Ashley that I had gone to the right man. Never in business history has a financial matter been so smooth and painless."

"Excellent service and without True Advice’s knowledge and expertise I would not have resolved a tricky financial situation I was in. Would 100% recommend."

Resources & Documents For Clients

As I am sure you are aware, there are a lot of things to read when it comes to financial services. From client agreements through to letters of authority and everything in between. Here we have provided you first hand access to a lot of these documents that will be provided to yourself throughout the advice process. Whether that is for a mortgage or for some investment or pension advice.

The relevant client agreement will be provided to you at the start of our advice process. The fees will also be discussed but are due to change as they vary from case to case as no case is the same and no case has the same amount of work.

Forms from lenders such as direct debit mandates, application declarations and other bits and pieces are all lender specific. These sort of documents will be provided as we go through the mortgage application with you.

Whilst the fact finds are here in downloadable format, we usually request these are filled out via your online client portal [https://trueadvicefs.myfinancecentre.com/] as this is a more straightforward process. If you are having any issues logging in to the client portal or have forgotten your password do let your advisor know as he can assist with this.

Your advisor will also be able to help with any questions or queries you may have on documents that they have provided to you personally.

Regulatory Statements

Equity Release

Equity Release plans are not right for everyone. And it is important that you fully consider your options and receive independent financial advice before making a decision. It is also important that, if you do decide to use an equity release product, you choose one that meets your needs.

Remember that taking an equity release plan is generally a long term option. However, there are flexible plans available that may fit your varying needs and some will allow you to repay in the future without penalties.

Investments

All investments involve a degree of risk of some kind. This section describes some of the risks which could be relevant to the services we provide you. We may provide further risk information during the course of our services to you, as appropriate.

Our services relate to certain investments whose prices are dependant on fluctuations in the financial markets outside our control. Investments and the income from them may go down as well as up and you may get back less than the amount you invested. Past performance is not a guide to future performance.

Mortgages

YOUR HOME MAY BE REPOSSESSED IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS ON YOUR MORTGAGE
